PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label printer which can cut a sheet of paper at a correct position. SOLUTION: A sensor for detecting label edges is provided between a printing portion and a cutter, and a portion to be cut is defined with an intermediate point between the edges detected by the sensor as a starting point.
