PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer rear-view mirror having independent antiglaring function in response to the intensity of light around a vehicle body and from the rear side thereof. SOLUTION: A mirror structure 3 is detachably assembled on an opening face 2a of a mirror housing 2 for the outer rear-view mirror 1 to be mounted outside the vehicle body. A mirror plate 4 of the mirror structure 3 is composed of a transparent glass 5 and a reflecting film 6 attached to the rear side of the transparent glass 5 for providing antiglaring function with energizing operation. The energizing control of the reflecting film 6 is performed by sensors 8, 9 for detecting the intensities of lights around the vehicle body and from the rear side thereof and an electronic control circuit 10 which compares the intensities of the lights detected by the sensors 8, 9 with each other and automatically adjusts the antiglaring amount of the reflecting film 6. A battery 11 connected to the electronic control circuit 10 for supplying power to the reflecting film 6 is provided in the mirror housing 2.
