PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sense any abnormality in stacking near the center of sheets easily, allow quick taking of countermeasure afterward, and prevent the sheets from falling off, etc. SOLUTION: A sheet discharge tray 1 is arranged capable of passing through a discharge hole E2 in the vertical direction. The tray 1 is furnished on its bottom surface with a distance measuring sensor 154 to make distance sensing for grasping the sheet discharged condition to an under-situated discharge tray 2, and if the change in the output voltage value of the sensor 154 becomes large and the condition lasts for a specified period of time, a control means, not showen in the illustration, judges that a rounding is generated and notifies an image forming device of the generated failure in a stacking.
