FIELD: organic chemistry, pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel derivatives of 5H- thiazol[3,2-a]pyrimidine of the general formula (I) where R1 means (lower) alkyl or benzyl; R2 means (lower) alkyl, (lower) alkoxy-group, -O(CH2)nN(R13)(R14) or -N(R15)(CH2)nN(R13)(R14); each of R3-R14 means hydrogen, halogen atom, (lower) alkyl, (lower) alkoxy-group or benzylhydroxy-group; or R6 and R7 form in common benzene ring; each of R13-R15 means hydrogen atom or (lower) alkyl; n = 1-3, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts. Invention relates also to derivatives of thioxopyrimidine of the general formula (II) R1-R7 as intermediate compounds where values are given above. Invention relates also to medicinal agent eliciting effect of antagonist of metabotropic glutamate receptors comprising compound of the formula (I) and therapeutically inert carrier. Invention provides synthesis of new compounds showing effect of antagonist of metabotropic glutamate receptors. EFFECT: valuable medicinal properties of compounds. 8 cl, 30 ex
