PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose a rotor for a superoconducting synchronous machine. SOLUTION: The rotor includes a rotor core and a superoconducting coil, which extends around at least a part of the rotor core, with the coil having side parts on both flanks of the rotor core, and a vacuum housing covers at least one of the coil side parts, and a conductive shield covers the vacuum housing and the coil side parts.
