PURPOSE: A method for controlling display in a microwave oven is provided to recognize totally information about cooking methods on the display window by using a scroll bar. CONSTITUTION: A display window of a microwave oven is set up as a search mode in order to recognize a cooking menu(100). A user selects the cooking menu on the display window(102). A plurality of subordinate functions of the selected cooking menu are displayed on the display window(104). The user selects a desired subordinate function from the subordinate functions of the selected cooking menu(106). A cooking method or cooking information is displayed on the display window(108). The user performs a scrolling operation with a scroll bar by using a dial(110). The user recognizes totally information by using the scroll bar(112).
