A valve drive device for simultaneously driving a plurality of valve elements, comprising an electric multi−way valve, wherein a pinion (17) formed integrally with the rotor of a motor for controlling a three−way valve (12) is used as a driving gear, driven gears (20A) and (20B) meshed with the driving gear are disposed generally symmetric with respect to the axis of the driving gear, valve elements (24A) and (24B) installed on the lower surfaces of the driven gears (20A) and (20B) are brought into slidable contact with a valve seat provided on a valve seat plate (13), communication holes (valve ports) (25A) and (25B) to a refrigerant outflow pipe welded to the valve seat plate (13) are opened and closed to connect and disconnect a flow passage from an inflow port (27), and the communication holes (25A) and (25B) at two positions allow four modes, (a) A open−B open, (b) A open−B close, (c) A close−B close, and (d) A close−B open to be selected for the inflow hole (27).
