PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food packaging material in which inhabitation of harmful insects is effectively impaired, inhabitation impairing components of the harmful insects are prevented from being diffused in the packaging material and transferred to the food or a peripheral part thereof, the food and the peripheral part thereof are not polluted, or affected by the odor. SOLUTION: The food packaging material contains the inhabitation impairing components of the harmful insects, or forms a layer containing the inhabitation impairing components of the harmful insects.
