PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a driver from imparting a sense of unease at vehicle stopping and vehicle starting time. SOLUTION: This brake control device 1 has a main brake device 2 for applying a main brake to wheels 11 by using pressure of an accumulator 3 as a pressure supply source, an auxiliary brake device 7 for applying auxiliary brake force to the wheels 11, a PKB switch 22 for operating or releasing the auxiliary brake force by operation of the driver, and a main brake controller for controlling main brake force. A main brake controller 10 detects an auxiliary brake by an operation state of the PKB switch 22, and pressure of main brake force by a pressure sensor 13, and prohibits release of the auxiliary brake force to the auxiliary brake device 7 when the pressure detected by the pressure sensor 13 is lower than prescribed pressure Pacc4. |
