FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: laid-on out-of-round gauge can find use in metrological units measuring errors of profiles including measurement of deviation from roundness. Given gauge has case 1 with measurement pickup 4 and multistep self-aligned supports located in symmetry with reference to pickup. Case 1 and multistep supports can come in the form of single unit made of one billet. Case 1 present clamp embracing measured part, multistep self-aligned support are formed on arms of clamp. Each step includes springy joints 5, 7 and balance beams 6, 8. Each springy joint is formed as springy link. Balance beams are mounted for swinging motion. EFFECT: raised measurement precision and reliability of laid-on out-of-round gauge. 5 cl, 1 dwg
