PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copying device or the like which reduces complication at selectively copying desired pages out of a lot of documents. SOLUTION: A user adds a skip mark 31 to the lower right corner of a document 25 which doesn't need copy, to designate that the document is a page which doesn't need copy. When a start button 21 is depressed, the document 25 placed on an automatic document feeder 24 is carried onto a platen glass 26 page by page and is read to generate picture data, and this picture data is stored in an external storage device 14. It is detected whether the mark 31 is added in a position corresponding to the document lower right corner of picture data of the document 25 or not on the basis of preliminarily registered mark addition position information and the shape of the mark, and picture data of the document 25 is printed in the case of the absence of the mark 31 but is abandoned and not printed in the case of the presence of the mark 31. |
