PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select an optimum antenna at transmission, even when situations change between reception and transmission and an optimum antenna is different between them. SOLUTION: A transmitter transmits a data packet to a receiver. The receiver receives a data packet and transmits a reception acknowledgement signal, denoting the reception state to the transmitter, when finishing the reception of the packet. The reception power measurement means 18 of the transmitter measures the reception power of the reception acknowledgement signal at antennas 11 and 12 and compares them. The transmitter selects an antenna providing the best reception state and transmits succeeding data from the selected antenna. The transmitter repeats the above operations, until the transmitter completes transmissions for all packets. The transmitter can transmit the data excellently, when the transmitter selects the optimum antenna at a point in time of data transmission.
