PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate matrix input pictures of a plurality of kinds of dimensions without increasing the development man-hour. SOLUTION: A device has a code arrangement position setting part which sets arrangement position data representing the arrangement positions of a plurality of codes in a generated multidimensional matrix, a pattern data generation and holding part 2 which generates and holds pattern data for managing the respective codes in groups, a pattern data selection part 3 which selects necessary pattern data from the pattern data generation and holding part 2, a multidimensional matrix generation part 4 which generates the multidimensional matrix allowing data input according to the set arrangement position data and the selected pattern data, and a display part 5 which visually displays the generated multidimensional matrix.
