发明名称 PRODUCTION OF D-PSICOSE
摘要 PURPOSE:To readily obtain D-psicose in a large amount and low cost by bring ing a specific bacterium into contact with an aqueous solution containing at least a species selected from D-galactitol, D-tagatose and D-talitol. CONSTITUTION:An Alcaligenes denitriphycans subspecies xylosoxydans 701A FERM BP-2735 strain (A) is obtained from soil, etc., by separation. Said strain has following mycological properties: size of short bacillus is 0.8-0.9X1.2-1.3mum; nitrate is reduced and starch is not hydrolyzed by the strain; growing pH is 5-9; generates an acid from glucose; has D-psicose producibility from at least a species of (d) saccharide selected from (a) D-galactitol, (b) D-tagatose and (c) D-talitol. Next, the strain A is cultured in a medium containing L-solbose or yeast extract, etc., to obtain live fungus body (B) of the strain A. Then, the fungus body B is aerobically subjected to catalytic reaction with an aqueous solution containing d-saccharide, thus a resultant reacted solution is filtered and purified by salting-out with ammonium sulfate or column chromatography, etc., to produce D-psicose.
