PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface acoustic wave device that can solve problems of a damaged electrode and a degraded electric characteristic because high inter-line impedance conventionally causes insufficiently even distribution of generated electric charges resulting in causing static electricity discharge between the electrodes. SOLUTION: The surface acoustic wave device is configured by enclosing the surrounding of a comb-shaped electrode 2 and a reflector electrode 3 with a frame-shaped shorting auxiliary electrode 6 at the inside of a dicing line 8 and the charge produced due to the pyroelectricity of the piezoelectric substrate can efficiently and electrically evenly distributed.
