PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To process a foreground component image and a background component image of a picked-up image at a high speed by using a network. SOLUTION: A client computer 27 outputs information specifying image data to be separated to a separation processing server 11. The separation processing server 11 obtains the specified image data from a storage server 18 and outputs them to a movement detection server 12 to perform movement detection processing, and then outputs the image data, a moving vector, and position information to an area specification server 13. The area specification server 13 generates area information of the image data and outputs the area information to a mixing ratio calculation server 14 in addition to the image data, the moving vector, and the position information. The mixing ratio calculation server 14 calculates a mixing ratio from the image data, the moving vector, the position information, and the area information and a foreground/background server 15 separates the foreground and background of the inputted image according to those pieces of information. |
