<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost power cord with safety device securing safety of electric equipment and surrounding environments by early sensing damage of power lines inside the cord to break power. SOLUTION: The power cord 10 is provided with two power lines 12a and 12b arranged inside the cord and a sensing line 13 arranged in between them. Thickness of a coated part 11-2 between the sensing line 13 and the power lines 12 (12a or 12b) is formed thinner than that of an insulation coating material 11-1 at an accessible part of the cord. When the power lines 12 are damaged in a semi-broken state due to fatigue with time or the like by folding and tension, tips of broken thin lines of the power lines 12 jump out to get in contact with the sensing line with thin coating, which makes current flow in the sensing line 13 to generate current difference between power lines 12a and 12b, which a power breaking device 15 detects and takes off a latch and opens full-time closed interlock switches 19a, 19b to break power.</p> |
