<p>Novel aggrecanase proteins and the nucleotide sequences encoding them as well as processes for producing them are disclosed. Methods for developing inhibitors of the aggrecanase enzymes and antibodies to the enzymes for treatment of conditions characterized bythe degradation of aggrecan are also disclosed.</p> |
