The invention relates to a mobile cleaning or washing system for shopping trolleys. The wash line of the mobile cleaning system (101) is U-shaped and consists of several cleaning stations. The inlet (402b) and outlet (402c) of the wash line are located on the same front face side (402a) of the container (402), wherein the mobile washing system (101) is located. At least two other physically separate stations (102, 104, 106, 110, 112 and/or 114) are provided in order to prevent undesirable mixing of used and fresh water and chemical cleaning material and/or disinfectant.
