PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing sintered ore, which improves flammability of a raw material of small grains with a low free-carbon content, and improves the quality, yield, and productivity of a sintered ore by utilizing the heat generated from heat generating substances around the grains. SOLUTION: This method is performed by granulating raw materials beforehand, which contain free carbon 5 mass % to 70 mass %, and in which the ratio of grains with sizes of 1 mm or less is 50 mass % or more, and employing the obtained grains for a part of a raw material for sintering in a DL type sintering machine. This method is alternatively performed by granulating raw materials beforehand, which contain fuel with free carbon of 80 mass%, and a raw material with free carbon 5 mass % to 70 mass %, and with grains sizes of 1 mm or less 50 mass% or more in ratio, and employing the obtained grains for a part of a raw material for sintering. Furthermore the reduced content of CaO is made to be 12 mass% to 60 mass%, and/or a FeO content is made to be 5 mass% or more.
