SOLUTION: A solid substrate which can carry oligonucleotide or a DNA fragment on its surface has a surface treatment layer of a hafnium carbide, niobium carbide, silicon carbide, tantalum carbide, thorium carbide, titanium carbide, uranium carbide, tungsten carbide, zirconium carbide, etc., on its surface. On the surface treatment layer coating the substrate, the oligonucleotide or DNA fragment is carried for gene analysis.
