A blade material (16) is stored on a braked drum (1) and pulled by a second motor (M) driven drum (2) through a stage of geometrical transformation (5) to make a blade. The surface of the blade is then treated by induction (6) and cold hammering (9) as required. The material to be cut (15) is placed on a table rotatable about two orthogonal axes and blade movement is controlled by nozzles (3, 4).
