The frame, made in two opening sections (1) with rooflight domes (C) or ventilators pivoting on hinge pins (5), has each hinge pin located in an oblong slot (4a) that allows the frame section to slide horizontally in the closed position to lock or release it. The frame sections lock by the edges (1e) of the frame sections engaging with matching edges (2c) on a frame fixed base member, and the horizontal movement is provided by power cylinders (3, 3a) that open and close the frame sections.
