PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter suppressing variation of hue and displaying colors with excellent visibility and to provide a liquid crystal display device using the same. SOLUTION: In the color filter having a translucent electrode and a coloring layer with three colors of red, green and blue the color filter, (a) the translucent electrode has a peak wavelength of transmittance in <=600 nm wavelength region and (b) red pixels transmitting light satisfies each of inequalities 0.37<=x<=0.43 and 0.28<=y<=0.33 expressed in terms of a chromaticity coordinate (x, y) in XYZ colorimetric system chromaticity diagram under conditions of D65 light source and 2 deg. viewing field. |
