PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of ending threads and a pieced up section thereof, capable of securing the continuity of the twists of two thread ends without being restricted by the kind of thread, being excellent in ending strength, and providing for good dyeing properties, and to provide an automatic winder having a thread ending device using an adhesive for achieving the method. SOLUTION: Two thread ends 1a and 1b are brought together and the adhesive 3 is applied to the ends brought together and is cured to ending the threads together. The automatic winder is fitted with the thread ending device for ending threads together by bringing the ends of the two threads together, applying an adhesive to the ends brought together, and curing the adhesive.
