PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminescence detector capable of distinguishing the luminous wavelength characteristics of a luminous substance with high accuracy and capable of detecting a plurality of luminous substances having different luminous wavelength characteristics in one stage. SOLUTION: A multisegment color sensor 9 is constituted of a plurality of light detection parts arranged along the moving direction of a fluorescent substance 1 and having intrinsic wavelength sensitivity characteristics applied thereto. The sensor 9 is used to detect the luminescence of the fluorescent substance 1 fed at a constant speed, and the time shift of the outputs of the respective light detection parts constituting the multisegment color sensor 9 is corrected in a signal processing part 15 to distinguish the luminous wavelength characteristics of the fluorescent substance 1.
