BURST DISPLACEMENT DATA WRITING METHOD AND MAGNETIC DISK UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To write burst displacement data of control information on a magnetic disk in a surely readable state concerning a data writing method and a magnetic disk unit. SOLUTION: This burst displacement data writing method is for writing burst displacement data for correcting the displacement or the burst pattern continuously after a first pattern for correction deviation within a signal track on the magnetic disk. The burst displacement data is written so as to from a relation of M=N among WHD being the core width of a write head, K being the interval of the bust boundary of the burst pattern and being the number of the areas of the burst displacement data which has to be provided after the burst pattern for (N-1)K<WHD<NK when N is an integer >=1.
