FIELD: manufacture of pumps; centrifugal pumps for pumping formation fluid from wells. SUBSTANCE: proposed impeller includes drive disk with impeller blades located on lower surface. First part of upper surface of disk whose outer radius is lesser than radius of impeller is flat in shape. Second part of upper surface of drive disk whose outer radius is lesser than radius of location of upper part of tips of impeller blades is made in form of shoulder. Distance between surface of shoulder and plane where first part of upper surface of drive disk lies reduces from periphery of impeller to point of conjugation of first and second parts of drive disk surface. Shoulder is provided with fins which are so located that maximum radius of location of end surfaces of fins exceeds outer radius of drive disk. Radius of lower surface of drive disk may be lesser than radius of location of lower part of blade trailing edges. Outer side edges of blades may lie on generatrix having form of cone whose vertex lies above upper surface of drive disk. EFFECT: reduced load on bearing members; reduced losses for mechanical friction; enhanced efficiency. 3 cl, 6 dwg
