SNEAK PATH CANCELLER FOR DIVERSITY RECEPTION AND RELAY SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relay system where a relay station relaying a broadcast wave with the same frequency conducts diversity reception and can cancel a sneak path. SOLUTION: The relay system is provided with sneak path canceling subtractor sections 33 whose number is equal to number of branches of a reception system that are configured such that an output of each branch of the reception system whose branch number is 2 or more is respectively and substantially given to a minuend terminal and a replica signal of a sneak path is respectively given to a subtraction terminal, with adaptive filter sections 34 for diversity synthesis whose number is equal to number of the branches of the reception system, an adder section 35 for summing outputs of the filter sections as transmission signals of the relay station for diversity synthesis, and sneak path canceling adaptive filter sections 36 whose number is equal to number of the branches of the reception system that receive filter coefficients to generate the sneak path replica signal and give the outputs to the subtraction terminal of each subtractor section.
