LAN CONTROLLER FOR DATA TRANSMISSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a LAN controller that prevents occurrence of an underflow and an overflow of a buffer at a receiver side, suppresses deviation in a recovery timing and efficiently transmits image data and audio data or the like without exceeding a transmission physical transmission band. SOLUTION: The LAN controller has a function that assembles timing information obtained by a system clock being a synchronization source into a timer frame and transmits the frame at a prescribed interval and a function that receives the timer frame, extracts the timing information from the received timer frame and recovering the system clock as that of the synchronization source. The LAN controller feeds back to its own timer every time of receiving the timer frame, each LAN controller connected to a LAN network shares the same time (timer) and time slots synchronized with each other, an individual time slot is assigned to each LAN controller and each LAN controller transmits a moving picture or audio data or the like by using the assigned time slot as a start point.
