A first heating system (10) supplies air with the aid of a fan to a mixing chamber (14) for discharge through flap controlled ducts (40). A second fan assisted heating system (12) also supplies air to the chamber. When the demand for heat is high the counter pressure (46) from the chamber can exceed the pressure (44) generated by the second fan. Under these circumstances a diverter flap (18) is pivoted to open a discharge vent (16) and close the access to the chamber.
