PURPOSE: A glass paste packaging body and the packaging method of a glass paste are provided to secure excellent carrying-in workability into a cleaning room and to suppress the generation of wastes. CONSTITUTION: A glass paste packaging body(10) comprises a drum can(11) made of stainless steel, a glass paste(13), a lid(14) made of stainless steel, and a fixing utensil(16). The glass paste is housed in the drum can through a plastic film bag, and for which, a glass powder is dispersed in a solvent containing a resin. The lid is fitted on the opening(11a) of the drum can. The fixing utensil fixes the lid onto the drum can. For the packaging method for the glass paste, the glass paste is housed in the drum can through the plastic film bag. Then, the lid made of stainless steel, of which the inside is covered with a plastic film(15) is fitted on the opening of the drum can. The lid is fixed to the drum can with the fixing utensil.
