PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer for printing a continuous sheet capable of easily detecting a variation of a shape of a folding part and a sheet thickness of the continuous, sheet and correcting crest folding and valley folding of the folded part of the continues sheet in a flat surface shape. SOLUTION: Shapes of a crest folding part 13 and a valley folding part 14 of the continuous sheet 1 are quantitatively recognized. A part, with the paper thickness thick, of the crest folding part 13 and the valley folding part 14 is rolled by a correcting roller or a rolling plate before the continuous sheet 1 passes a narrow path between a print head 5 and a platen roller 6 so as to forcibly correct in the flat surface shape. Thereby a burden in carrying a sheet in the narrow path is reduced and stable sheet feeding can be achieved. The printer capable of reducing the burden in carrying the sheet and improving printing accuracy is provided by correcting the crest folding part and valley folding part of the folded part.
