PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle capable of smoothly draining condensed water and preventing water splash by improving water drainage. SOLUTION: In a structure that retains an evaporator 13 under a condition that the evaporator 13 inclines down from a falling passage F1 side to a rising passage F3 side and is provided with a drain pipe 15 on a bottom surface of a lateral passage F2 , a gutter part 31 that receives condensed water condensing in the evaporator 13 and flowing and gathering to an inclination lower end part of the evaporator 13 and guides condensed water to the bottom surface of the lateral passage F2 through side walls 10a, 10a of a unit case 10 is provided below the inclination lower end part of the evaporator 13. Consequently, the condensed water gathering at the inclination lower end part of the evaporator is guided to the bottom surface of the lateral passage F2 through the gutter part 31. The condensed water drops from the inclination lower end part of the evaporator 13 and is prevented from splashing into the inside of the vehicle.
