METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING TRACKING ERROR OF OPTICAL RECORDER

PURPOSE: A method and a device for controlling a tracking error of an optical recorder are provided to execute a stable tracking servo control and normally read a disk by reducing only a tracking error signal generated by distortion of a disk surface in the case that the disk surface is distorted. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling a tracking error of an optical recorder includes the steps of judging that a surface of a disk is distorted(301), reducing gain of the tracking error signal from a rising edge to a falling edge of a tracking detect signal generated by the distortion of the disk surface(302), holding tracking control voltage at the rising edge until the falling edge if the influence by the distortion is not removed(303-304), decreasing rotation speed of the disk if the influence by the distortion is not removed(305-306), and executing a tracking servo control(307).
