PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melting furnace for gasifying melting furnace facility in which a combustion gas nozzle and a primary combustion chamber are not blocked by clinkers adhering to the internal surface of the top part of the furnace and which makes the stable continuous operation of a gasifying melting furnace facility possible, and to provide a method of supplying combustion gas to the furnace. SOLUTION: The gasifying melting furnace facility gasifies wastes in a gasifying furnace and melts the ash contained in the generated gas (b) into slag by introducing the gas (b) to the melting furnace 3. The furnace 3 is provided with a gas inlet 20 through which the gas (b) is introduced into the furnace 3 in the form of a swirling gas flow in its upper side wall, a plurality of combustion gas supply nozzles 24 and 25 which are opened in the side wall and top wall of the furnace 3, and a combustion gas blowing means which blows a combustion gas (f) into the swirling gas flow through the nozzles 24 and 25.
