PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle inspection apparatus which simplifies its configuration, improves the centering accuracy and realizes diversified centering methods by means of an electric centering method making full use of an electrical system. SOLUTION: Pairs of support rollers 9, on which left and right wheels 10 are disposed, are arranged apart from each other. At least one pair of support rollers 9 are set so as to be rotatably driven. Centering devices 16-19 having a centering roller 44 are disposed on the side of the support rollers 9. The centering roller 44 is set to be movable back and forth to the side of the support roller 9. The centering roller 44 is set on the side of the wheel so as to be in contact with it. A control device 51 which can control the action of the support roller 9 and the movement of the left and right centering rollers 44 moving to the side of the support roller 9, is installed. The left and right centering rollers 44 can be moved to the centering positions through the control device 51.
