PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a transmission by an emergency motor 50 when a motor 28 for selection fails in a motor-driven transmission operating device 20. SOLUTION: A striker 26 is attached to a shift shaft 24 rotatably supported inside a housing 22 in such a way that the striker can be moved in the axial direction and integrally rotated. The shifting operation of the transmission is performed by rotating the shift shaft 24 by a motor 36 for shifting an the selection operation of the transmission is performed by moving the striker 26 in the axial direction by the motor 28 for selection. The emergency motor 50 is mounted in the direction orthogonally crossing the motor shaft 30 of the motor 28 for selection. The drive of the emergency motor 50 is transmitted to the motor shaft 30 of the motor 28 for selection and the striker 26 is moved in the axial direction of the shift shaft 24 for performing the selection operation.
