PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insect pest extermination apparatus for a small animal, with which insect pests such as mite, flea, louse, etc., attached to a small animal are exterminated by a simple method. SOLUTION: This insect pest extermination apparatus 10 for a small animal is constituted of a case 11 which is formed in a long and slender hollow state, provided with a slit 11a extended in the length direction, a rodlike germicidal light 12 housed in the case, a lighting apparatus 13 for lighting the germicidal light and a gripping part 14 attached to the outside at one end of the case.
