POWER COMPOSITION OF PROPOLIS EXTRACT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a powder composition of a propolis extract having excellent processing suitability and production suitability such as prevention of trouble in a filling step and a method for producing the propolis powder. SOLUTION: This powder composition of the propolis extract is obtained by mixing a starch and/or cellulose with a hydrous ethanol solution of the propolis extract, vacuum drying the resultant mixture by heating and then pulverizing the dried material. The residual content of the alcohol in the powder composition of the resultant propolis extract is <=1%. The extract powder composition has excellent processing suitability to a tablet or a capsule and production suitability such as prevention of trouble in the filling step.
