PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an enzymically treated fish meal producible in relatively simple equipment and capable of improving aspects of quality and health of cultured fishes, livestock animals, etc., in the most increased state of peptides by individual physiological actions and enhancing efficiency of feeds with a good digestion absorption ratio. SOLUTION: A fish meal produced from a fish body and processed residua, etc., of the fish body is used as a raw material fish meal 1 and warm water 2 heated to an operative temperature of a proteolytic enzyme is added thereto to provide a cake 3. A proteolytic enzyme is then added to the case 3 to carry out enzymic treatment 4. Aging 5 is conducted to hydrolyze proteins and reduce the molecular weight thereof. The proteolytic enzyme, as necessary, is then inactivated and drying 6 and pulverizing 7 are subsequently carried out to afford the enzymically treated fish meal 8. |
