PURPOSE: An access alarming apparatus of the following vehicle is provided to improve safety during traveling, and to prevent lowering of concentration by displaying the access and the kind of the following vehicle without checking a rearview mirror or a side mirror. CONSTITUTION: An access warning device of the following vehicle is composed of a microphone(1) collecting noise in the rear part during traveling; an amplifier(2) amplifying a noise signal from the microphone; a filter(3) filtering the vehicle noise signal among the amplified noise signal; a flash ROM(4) inputting noise data during traveling; an ultrasonic detector(5) detecting the distance from the following vehicle; a central processing unit(6); and an audio system(7) connected to the central processing unit. The central processing unit detects the kind of the following vehicle by comparing the noise signal from the filter with the noise data in the flash ROM, and displays access and the kind of the following vehicle through the audio system.
