SUBSCRIBER-BASED RINGBACK TONE SERVICE METHOD THROUGH CONTROL OF HLR

PURPOSE: A subscriber-based ringback tone service method through the control of an HLR(Home Location Register) is provided to improve a conventionally standardized ringback tone type by providing a specific sound for which a termination subscriber wishes as a ringback tone. CONSTITUTION: If a random caller calls a termination subscriber and requests call connection, a corresponding origination MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(31) requests termination location information to an HLR(10)(S501). The HLR(10) requests routing information to the termination MSC(32) according to the request(S502). The HLR(10) requests a sound source code corresponding to termination telephone number information to an IP server(70)(S503). The termination MSC(32) provides routing information i.e., a TLDN(Temporary Local Director Number) to the HLR(10)(S504). The IP server(70) searches a sound source code connected to the termination telephone number according to the request, and transmits the searched sound source code to the HLR(10)(S505). The HLR(10) transmits received routing information to the origination MSC(31), and transmits a response message including sound source code information received from the IP server(70)(S506). The origination MSC(31) requests a trunk or ISUP(Integrated Services Digital Network User Part) call connection to the termination MSC(32) on the basis of received routing information and configures a mutual channel(S507). The origination MSC(31) transmits a previously stored sound source corresponding to received sound source code information to a mobile terminal of the caller(S508).
