PURPOSE: A metal post filter assembly using a non-radiative dielectric waveguide is provided to improve the filter characteristics by designing a filter unit to have an integrated unit in which dielectric resonators are serially coupled. CONSTITUTION: A filter unit(150) filters the frequency component of specific band of electromagnetic wave. A filter housing includes parallel conductive plates facing to each other and accepts the filter unit(150) in a space between the parallel conductive plates to block the radiation of electromagnetic wave to the outside. The filter unit(150) includes a dielectric path(20) and plural metal posts(26a-26h,28a-28h). A side of the dielectric path(20) is provided with plural inserting holes(22a-22h,24a-24h) in parallel with the parallel conductive plates. The inserting holes(22a-22h,24a-24h) are arranged in a multi-stage according to the filtering orders of a filter assembly. The dielectric path(20) is divided by a multi-stage dielectric resonator which is serially coupled by the plural metal posts(26a-26h,28a-28h).
