PURPOSE: An impact testing apparatus for vehicle parts is provided to prevent a cylinder rod from being lowered by its weight prior to the impact test, while preventing measurement error caused due to the excessive displacement of the rod. CONSTITUTION: An impact testing apparatus comprises a cylinder body(11) where a rod escape prevention stopper and a speed metering sensor are installed; a rod(12) which operates as a pneumatic valve within the cylinder body in accordance with the control of a controller, and has a speed detection protruded member, a stopper and a groove formed at a predetermined position of the rod; a hemispherical member(18) coupled to the front end of the rod, which presses a measurement object(16); and a rod fixing unit arranged at the cylinder body and selectively coupled to the groove formed at the rod so as to fix or release position of the rod. The rod fixing unit includes a ball member accommodated into the groove formed at the rod; a stopper member coupled to the ball member; a pair of poppet members contacting the stopper member and which has an elastic spring, wherein poppet members are arranged to be opposed with each other centering from the stopper member; a rod member hinge-coupled to poppet members; and a pneumatic valve for allowing the ball member to be selectively accommodated into the groove.
