An inhaler device includes an air conduit including a mouthpiece and a dosin g means adapted to provide a dose of powder to the air conduit for entrainment in the stream of air. In the area downstream from the dosing means the wall of the air conduit is provided with a secondary air inlet extending to the direction of the mouthpiece such that the entry of secondary air occurs over an extended length of the air conduit downstream from the dosing means.
