VIDEO SIGNAL PROCESSING SYSTEM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a video camera system which performs wide-range image monitoring by using a zoom-up function by electric processing and is free of deterioration in picture quality. SOLUTION: A video signal processing system which uses a video camera is equipped with: a signal thinning-out processing means which generates a video signal matching the image size of the output of the video camera by thinning out at specific pixel intervals, a video signal obtained from a sensor of image pickup area larger than the image size of a picture outputted by the video camera; and a zoom-up means which generates a video signal matching the image size of the video camera output by trimming and electrically zooming up part of the video signal obtained from the sensor. The system adaptively switches the output of the signal thinning-out processing means and the output of the zoom-up processing means to output either of them.
