PURPOSE: A dust-collecting device is provided to prevent a backflow of dust within a dust-collecting chamber and to improve dust-collecting efficiency. CONSTITUTION: In a dust collecting device(1), an open dust suction port(3) is installed on a floor wall(13) of a housing(11). A rotating brush housing chamber(39) and a dust collecting chamber(36) are placed side by side inside the housing. The rotating brush housing chamber is connected to the dust collecting chamber, through an air current passing port(34). A rotating brush(2) is arranged in the rotating brush housing chamber and it is possible to collect in the dust collecting chamber dust on a floor through an air current passing port by sweeping up by rotation of the rotating brush. A cover wall(83) covering the upper part of the rotating brush is installed to the housing, facing the rotating brush housing chamber, and at the same time an air current guide wall(81) suddenly rising from the floor wall of the housing. A dust catching wall is projected toward the inside of the dust collecting chamber onto an upper end part(81a) of the air current guide wall.
