PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manipulator, with which a manipulation of a large stroke or angle can be easily performed and fatigue caused by such manipulation can be reduced. SOLUTION: In the manipulator 12 for manipulating the advancing direction, acceleration/deceleration and stop of an automobile, a movable part 12b formed to be gripped with the palm of a hand is attached slidably to a fixed part 12a, and the amount of the movement thereof is converted to an electric signal for manipulating the advancing direction, acceleration/deceleration and stop.
