PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous resin composition which excels in the hardness, corrosion resistance, and water resistance of a coating film immediately after drying by using a vinyl-modified amine adduct epoxyester resin obtained by introducing a polar group into the conventional vinyl-modified epoxyester resin. SOLUTION: The aqueous coating resin composition comprises 100 pts.wt. bisphenol type epoxy resin and a vinyl-modified amine adduct epoxyester resin having an acid value of 10-50 and obtained from 3-30 pts.wt. alkanolamines, 20-200 pts.wt. fatty acid, and 30-200 pts.wt. polymerizable monomer.
